Heath is known to have been populated by the Hopewell Indians and is apart of the Newark Earthworks.
 

Heath is located in Licking County, Ohio approximately 30 mi east of Columbus and boarders the city of Newark.

Incorporated as a village in 1952, over the next decade Heath grew quickly. Going from a population of 2,426 in 1960 to 6,066 in 1965, when it was chartered as the 196th city in Ohio.

 

Heath has been a leader in the overall economic development of Licking County, also known as "the City of Progress". The most common style of homes found in the city of Heath, Ohio, are single-family ranch-style homes and split-level homes. Often featuring a large front yard and stone or wood exteriors. In addition to the traditional style homes, the city of Heath has a small number of condos, multi-family units as well as some newly constructed housing developments.
