Lancaster is a city in Fairfield County, Ohio, and its county seat.
 

Although initially known as New Lancaster, later shortened to Lancaster by city ordinance in 1805. Quickly growing and becoming a formal incorporation as a city came in 1831.

 

Known for its rich history, well-preserved 19th-century architecture, and its role in the historic Zane's Trace. Lancaster is also a hub for glass manufacturing, earning it the nickname "Glass City".

Craftsman Bungalows are a common, popular style found closer to the city center, often dating to the early 1900s. Victorian & Italianate styles are common in older, established neighborhoods, often featuring ornate details.
